Marketing Generalist Role

We are looking for a marketer to implement and optimize a variety of tactics, tools, and processes to support internal and external marketing and communications strategies. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who is excited to learn, create, and share ideas as a member of our growing Corporate Marketing and Communications (MarCom) team. We are looking for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will work in a hybrid role from home and at our office in Falls Church, VA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate, brainstorm, create, and edit a wide range of materials that include web pages, social media, videos, presentations, internal communication, newsletters, marketing campaign assets, and more
• Partner with MarCom team members and other key business lines and groups to implement and optimize growth campaigns and tactics including social media, multimedia, advertising, content marketing, SEO/SEM, and more
• Leverage analytic tools to monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities
• Help manage the MarCom technology stack: learn the key features and limitations of our toolset and support the discovery and implementation processes for new tools when needed
• Stay up to date on marketing, design, and communications trends and serve as the MarCom team’s SME for search, social, digital, and new/emerging tactics
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, graphic design, or related field
• 1-3 years of professional marketing, design, and/or communications experience
• Knowledge of graphic fundamentals, social media, basic marketing and communications concepts
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative suite tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

• Experience with the HubSpot Marketing Hub and/or Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud
• Proven experience with graphic and video design, with a strong portfolio of work
• PowerPoint and Word template design
• UX/UI/responsive web design
• Front-end web development (HTML, CSS)
